Run: 10k, 6'39" average
As I try to up my weekly total distance, today's run was changed from a 5k to a 10k. But keeping with our pattern, my wife joined me for the first 5.
We had a lovely first half. The sun was shining brightly, the temperature around 7C, and traffic hadn't picked up around town so it rather peaceful. We chatted, noted that we didn't pass many folks, and commented on the lilacs and cherry blossoms that smell just wonderful this time of year.
The second half I ran a more purposeful 5k. Through a subdivision down at the far end of town, with sight of the river for part of it. It's a sidewalk run mostly but it also has a nasty hill in it too. I freely admit that once I reached the top I stopped to take a rest. 2 minutes later I'm back at to finish off the last 2.5k to the 10k mark. I ran past the neighbourhood chickens not far from the house and greet the chickens with a "morning girls!" As usual, not a sound.
I end off with one last small hill and pass my neighbour walking her dog.
