I had this thought, what if I just blogged for a while about the runs that I do. Not to say how wonderful I am, but just to reflect on each run. Today is day 1...
Run length: 5k, time: ~ 28 mins, Route: The easier downtown loop
I have about 4 different 5k loops near the house. Today's was the easier of the 4. It consists of about 500m of straight running and then a stop at a traffic light. The light was rather short today, which I sometime curse quietly about. Then I'm off to the top of the Library bridge. Once there it is down to the lower Library bridge and after a right turn off towards the woods.
It was cooler today than the previous run. As it was 0C and the last run was at around 26C, my body seems to be complaining more than usual. Breathing is a bit more laboured, I feel slow. I trundle on through the short stint in the woods and then back through town. By the time I hit the lower bridge, I'm actually reflecting on the sense that I don't really feel all that bad. As I approach the point that I stop all runs near my house, I still pick up speed just to prove to myself that I have energy to expend.
Run score: Satisfied
